Count Iblis

The arrogant genie who calls himself Count Iblis is a bastard among bastards. His father an Ifrit jeweler, his mother a Dao concubine, both were forced to flee into exile when her pregnancy was found out, to avoid her powerful husbands wrath. After many centuries, Iblis worked his way into the society of the City of Brass, in the lowliest of roles at first, taking advantage of his affinity for unlocking the mysterious ‘nuclear’ fires that burn within stone to serve as blacksmith, and eventually weaponsmith and armorer to the mighty. But his status was always in question due to his mixed parentage, and when an Ifrit Lord began to refer to himself as Lord of the Fire that Burns Within Stone, a title that Iblis had claimed for himself, he knew that he could not fight to maintain even his lowly titles. He followed the actions of his parents, turning to exile among the humans. For it is said, better to rule amongst the mud-people, than serve in the Land of Smokeless Fire…
